Thailand - Kanchanburi Thailand - Prachet Khiri Khan

After 3 nights in Kanchanburi, we have moved on to Hua Hin, via a bus journey to Ratchaburi and then the train for the rest of the way (about 160km in total which cost about 75p bus and 1.20 on train).

Bus journey

We booked into yet another cheap guesthouse - 2.50 each per night, no aircon though, just a fan...

Hua Hin town

It was quite a touristy resort, with lots of bars, restaurants etc... it wasnt a very relaxing place to stay. The main street was quite busy with motorbikes as the main choice of vehicle.

The towns main industry other than tourism is fishing. There is a large quay and the smell is undescribable... (phew!).

Although there is also a very long and very wide sandy beach (the sand was like icing sugar). The weather was quite overcast and not very many people had ventured to the beach even though it was still a hot day.

We also went to a thai boxing bout and watch 5 fights each with 5 rounds, it wasnt as gory as i'd imagined it to be (watching to many van damme movies), although it is much more full on than normal boxing (knees to the kidneys, kicks and elbows to the head and face etc...) but all the fighters were proper sportsmen and there were no punches or anger after the final bell had rang.
