We
arrived at KL International Airport and took the
train into KL which was about 45 km away.

We are staying in a nice and cheap guesthouse right in
the downtown KL area. Everything is in walking
distance, or easy to get to via the skytrain. KL is a
much nicer city than Bangkok and the people all seem
quite genuine and friendly. We took an organised tour
of the city and saw the Petronas Twin Towers, the
National Palace (where the King lives), the National
Museum and Merdeka Square where the council buildings
are.

Kuala Lumpar means the meeting of two rivers and used
to be a small tin mining town with a large chinese
influence. It is only since the British pulled out
that the Malaysians have built it into the city it is
now. Being a new city the public transport system is
excellent and the buildings are quite spectacular.

Yesterday we took a day out from culture and took a
visit to Kuala Lumpars theme park 'Sunway Lagoon' it
wasnt really an Alton Towers, but we had a good laugh
and the Waterpark was awsome.
